Travelling with Children and Infants
1. What are the age requirements for a child or infant travelling on Cyprus Airways?
  • Under 2 years: Infants cannot travel alone under any circumstances
  • Under 6 years: Children under the age of six (6) cannot travel alone, unless accompanied by a person over fifteen (15) years of age.
  • 6 - 15 years: From the age of six(6)  to fifteen(15) , children traveling alone shall be considered as Unaccompanied Minors or "UMs"

2. What are the baggage entitlements for children & infants?

Children that travel on their own are allowed as many luggage as an adult(20 kg for Economy Class and 30 for Business Class).Infants that  pay 10% of the fee are allowed 10 kg of luggage.
3. Can I order a special meal for my child?

Yes.You can ask for a special meal, for a child by choosing one of the options that are offered during your online reservation.Alternatively you can order your special meal by contacting our Reservation Offices at least 48 hours before your flight.
4. I will be carrying an infant with me. Can I bring a baby cot on board?

You may carry with you as free baggage the following items (not exceeding 20 Kgs):
  • An Infant baby cot provided it can fit in the overhead compartments.
  • A "forward facing" infant car safety seat (only for children aged between 6 months and 3 years, occupying a paid seat)The child type car seat must have a harness with a single release mechanism and the design must have the necessary structural provision to accommodate the aircraft seat's seat belt for restraining purposes.
  • Infant food and nappies for consumption during flight
  • An infant collapsible pushchair, provided that cabin stowage is available
