1. What are the minimum browser requirements?

The minimum requirement is a browser that supports Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption and JavaScript such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher, or Mozilla Firefox 3.x or higher.

Our website has been designed for viewing with any screen area setting above 800x600 pixels, which is the default ideal screen area.

6. How do I check or change the size of my screen area?

To check or change the size of your screen area:

  • Windows 95/NT and above
    • On your desktop, double click the "My Computer" icon
    • Double click the "Control Panel" icon
    • The "Display Properties" window will appear. Click the "Settings" tab.
    • In the bottom right corner of the window you will see "Screen Area". The default setting for this is 800x600 pixels. To change the setting, simply scroll the screen area button left or right to increase or decrease the screen areasize.
    • Click on the "OK" button.

    • Click on the Macintosh toolbar
    • Click on the "Monitor Control Panel" icon
    • A choice of screen sizes will appear. Select 800x600 for optimum viewing
7. What kind of connection is required?

Any connection to the Internet is adequate, the minimum recommended connection speed is a 56K dial-up connection. This can be obtained using aV.90, 56K modem.

8. How could I have a faster connection?

A number of alternatives exist. An ISDN line will increase the communication speed to 64K or 128K. However there are other types of connections, which can improve the connection speed even further. Typical examples include an ADSL line, a Leased Line, Frame Relay etc.

9. How can I tell whether my browser supports 128-bit encryption?

In order to check your browser's encryption level:If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x or higher:

  • Select "Help" from the Internet Explorer menu bar.
  • Select "About Internet Explorer" from the drop-down menu
  • The "About Internet Explorer" dialog box will provide information on your browser version and encryption level

  • From the "About" Web page scroll down the left-hand side.

If you have 128-bit US encryption you will find the following statement :"This version supports US security with RSA Public Key Cryptography, MD2, MD5, RC2-CBC, RC4, DES-CBC, DES-EDE3-CBC." If you have the less stringent International encryption and need to upgrade your encryption level, you will find the following statement: "This version supports International security with RSA Public Key Cryptography, MD2, MD5, RC2-CBC, RC4."

  • Check [Enable SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) v3]

11. How can I print pages from the web site?

Our website is designed for viewing on monitors set to 800x600 pixels. However, when printing pages from the site, part of the right margin will be cut off when printing on A4 paper. To avoid this problem, we advise you to print in landscape format. To do this, click on "File" at the top of your web browser, then click on "Print". A window will appear displaying your printer name. Click on the "Properties" button next to this. The window which appears next will vary, depending on which printer you have; for example, if you are using an HP LaserJet 4 printer, you will see the choice for "Landscape" or "Portrait" in the Orientation Box.

In some cases, useful articles will also provide you the option to either print them directly or email them to a friend. In those cases, this will be clearly marked at the top of the article.
