Checked Baggage
Cyprus Airways allows a free allowance of checked baggage which does not exceed 20 kgs for passengers travelling in the Economy Class and 30 kgs for passengers travelling in Business Class. Infants traveling on a 10% fare are entitled a free allowance of 10 kgs.
Maximum weight limit for single items of hold baggage:
To comply with health & safety requirements, Cyprus Airways has introduced a maximum weight limit for single items of hold baggage. In line with this new policy, Cyprus Airways does not accept any piece of baggage that exceeds 32kg in weight.
In case that you cannot comply with this requirement you will be asked to reduce the weight of the piece of baggage by re-packing or make alternative arrangements.
It is noted that this policy refers to single items and does not affect your overall baggage allowance, as shown on your ticket.
Hand Luggage
In the interest of comfort and safety of all our passengers, Cyprus Airways accepts one piece of cabin baggage not exceeding 115 cms (45 ins) total dimensions (height+width+depth) and 5 Kgs weight. It must be of a size and shape to allow for storage in aircraft overhead compartments, or any other authorised stowage area.
In addition to the one piece of hand luggage, customers may also carry Duty Free Articles (liquor, tobacco, perfumes), a purse, an overcoat, a small camera, or a reasonable amount of reading material.
** EU Security Rules at Airports **
To protect you against the new threat of liquid explosives, the European Union (EU) has adopted new security rules that restrict the amount of liquids that you can take through security checkpoints. They apply to all passengers departing from airports in the EU whatever their destination.
This means that, at security checkpoints, you and your hand luggage must be checked for liquids in addition to other prohibited articles. However, the new rules do not limit the liquids that you can buy at shops located beyond the point where you show your boarding pass or on board an aircraft operated by an EU airline.
